"Jesus increased in wisdom..."

Luke 2:52

Beloved, if the Son of God in His humanity grew in wisdom, we must recognize our need to increase in wisdom.

We must see that wisdom can grow in our lives and that this does not happen only with time. We must come to a place of understanding our need to please God and the importance of wisdom in this life. If Jesus grew in wisdom, we must consider our need for this maturity and how this occurred in His life.

It is the word of God that gives us a discerning heart. The knowledge of the Lord and His ways brings wisdom to our thinking. Enabling us to live wise and godly lives. We depend upon the Holy Spirit to bring the truths of God's word alive within us and empower us to live for the Lord.

Let us begin to grow in the wisdom of God today, seeking Him through His word and prayer. May we have the testimony that we increased in wisdom.

" I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad."

Psalm 119:96

God has enabled man to create beautiful things. Numerous inventions have enriched humanity. Great civilizations have existed throughout human history, each with its contributions. There is the beauty of the arts and amazing athletic achievements.

But with time, each of these begins to be forgotten, has the potential of losing some value, and will not pass into eternity.

It is the precepts of God that will endure forever. God's word is eternally valuable. It alone has benefits in this life and in the one to come. May we see and know the never-ending blessing of keeping God's word. Let us start this day to build our lives upon His word and hold to it.

"Your faithfulness endures to all generations; "

Psalm 119:90

Throughout human history, every generation is faced with the epochs of their time. What the people of God should remember, the Lord remains the same.

God will be faithful to all His people while His will is performed within the world. There is nothing that concerns God or has taken Him unawares. From the foundations of the earth, the plan of redemption moves forward until that moment when the Lord will make all things new.

Until then, God is with His people. He will continue to pour out His mercy upon them and is faithful in His goodness. Be not alarmed this day and put your trust in the Lord. You can entrust yourself to the Lord and your children and your children's children. God will reveal Himself unto them all.
