"Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love."

  Joel 2:13

Beloved, be assured today that the Lord receives the penitent heart. The soul that humbles itself before God, seeking mercy through repentance, shall never be turned away. God will demonstrate His grace and the satin of sin removed.

The adversary of our soul is an accuser. He will try to make you believe God's mercy is no more. The father of lies would have you think you exhausted God's patience. The Lord does not wink at our sins. He is slow to anger and will forgive genuine repentance.

God abounds in steadfast love towards His people. Faithful to finish the good work that He has begun in us. Rest assured today that the Lord is with you and will help in your pilgrimage in this world.

"The people who know their God shall stand firm and take action."

Daniel 11:32

The people of God have always stood as God's light in this world. The darkness has often tried to extinguish this light by force or by the subtle temptation to compromise. The Lord has promised to strengthen His people and to carry them through this spiritual warfare.

God will continue to enable His people to stand firm in the face of threats. His people are not in despair by the darkness of the age. Its chaos does not dismantle their faith. Christ is the cornerstone upon which they stand.

Because of this sure footing in Christ, they do exploits for the Lord. He is their portion, and the Spirit of God enables the people of God to continue forward. The light of the Lord shines through their everyday lives, and the enemy cannot snuff them out. For greater is He in the believer than the spirit of the age.

Hold firm today, beloved in the Lord. The battle belongs to God, and He will strengthen you for the day.

"I will have mercy on No Mercy, and I will say to Not My People,' You are my people'; and he shall say, ' You are my God.' "

  Hosea 2:23

Beloved, we could be named No Mercy and Not My People if it were not for God's grace. We were the enemies of God, estranged from Him and without hope in this world. Our iniquity deserved no mercy. Because of our transgressions, we could not be numbered among God's people or declared one of His children.

Then Christ came and died for the ungodly. Those whom God chose, Christ redeemed with His life. We who were not the people of God are now God's people because of the remission of our sins and the new birth in Christ. Mercy was imputed by Christ to those who had no mercy.

In repentance, we now exclaim that the Lord is our God. We belong to Him, and He belongs to us. Acknowledging that the chief end of our lives is to live for the glory of God and to enjoy Him forever as His people. Those who had no mercy are now called the people of God.
