"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise."

Jeremiah 17:14

Jeremiah is not seeking physical healing but the healing that comes from God's deliverance and aid. The trials of life will weary the soul and body by its anguish. The troubled mind robs the heart and body of peace, bearing upon the shoulders a heavy load.

It is these trials that plague the spirit that also weakens one's body and will. Beloved, be not dismayed. Turn to the Lord and cast your burden upon Him. Seek the healing of your wearied soul and His protection through the trial. God will supply your needs, and He shall save you. His grace will be made sufficient.

The mercy of the Lord is made new for you this morning and will refresh you as you come to His word. Trust the Lord. He will not forsake you.

"The Lord has remembered us; he will bless us."

Psalm 115:12

Our minds may be distracted, and we tend to forget things. But the Lord is omniscient, and He can't forget. The Psalmist uses an expression we can relate to and are often tempted to believe. When we think that God has forgotten us. He will never forget you, beloved.

God knows you by name and is aware of your circumstances. He is willing and able to bless you. The Lord has promised to never forsake you and finish the good work He has begun in you. God is also working all things for the good of your salvation. He has also promised that nothing can separate you from the unceasing lovingkindness of God.

God remembers you, and He will bless you.

"How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?"

Hebrews 2:3

There are various forms of neglect. What we neglect and to what extent something is neglected can cause severe consequences. A home will begin to deteriorate if it is not well maintained. Machinery will cease to operate if it is not frequently serviced. Relationships, our physical health, and emotional well-being can suffer if neglected.

Nothing will suffer more or have graver consequences than the soul that neglects the Gospel message. It is paramount that we do not neglect such a great salvation. This does not come just in the form of some overt sin but can also happen by the gradual neglect of quiet time with the Lord.

It is incumbent upon us to read the word of God, take it to heart, and put into practice that which we have heard and read. Beloved, let us seek the Lord through scripture today. So that we might grow in the grace and knowledge of Him. No other book has the message or the power to bring eternal life.
