"How precious is your steadfast love, O God!"

Psalm 36:7

In a world that is constantly changing and sometimes in chaos, it is reassuring to know that the love of God is steadfast. The one thing we can be sure of today is that the lovingkindness of God is unceasing.

The nature of God's love being steadfast makes it precious to His people. It comforts us amid trials and brings hope to us in uncertain times. Knowing that God loves us helps us through the day and brightens tomorrow.

Beloved rest assured in God's plan for your life. It is guided by His love and wisdom. When you look upon the cross and partake of communion these are constant reminders that the Lord loves you and His love is steadfast. May you find comfort in His love.

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."

Psalm 34:18

The nearness of God is not something we should doubt, for He is omnipresent. We are never outside the presence of God. The Psalmist reminds us in terms that we understand and would be comforted by in describing the nearness of the Lord.

When we are brokenhearted or crushed in spirit by our sin or circumstances it is easy to believe God is far from us. That He has cast us off in some way. Penitent hearts and those in despair because of trials should know that the Lord is near and He will save them.

Do not allow your circumstances to dictate your hope in God. He is the God of all comfort. The Lord is with you and will not forsake you.

"For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."

Romans 8:18

When suffering assails your soul, and all hope seems gone, lift your eyes towards heaven's promise. The present trial filled with sorrow will pass. It does its best to weaken the heart. But there is a hope, an anchor for the soul, that is Christ Himself. Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father and He pulls us to that eternal shore.

The glory of eternal life will not diminish. God Himself is the light of all eternity. The shadows of despair can not dwell in that fair country. We will dwell with Him there and bask in His presence. Never to be separated from Him. The sufferings of this present time cannot compare to what we have in Christ and what is obtained with the dawning of eternity.

Lift your eyes and heart to heaven today, beloved. Lift yourself to the One high and lifted up. The Lord is the lifter of your head. He is keeping you.
