"Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress!"

Psalm 102:2

Beloved, have you ever experienced a moment when someone pretended they did not see you? You tried to get their attention by waving your hand or calling out to them to no avail. You tried to catch their eye only to be ignored. There are moments when a misunderstanding happens, but there are other instances when you know the individual deliberately acted as though you were not there.

These experiences can leave us angry, hurt, or disappointed, especially when we require help. Be encouraged today. God will never hide His face from you. His eye is upon. The Lord knows you're going out and coming in. He hears your cry and will not hide His face from you.

If today is a day of distress, the Lord will not forsake you. He is ever present with His people. God is working everything for the good of our salvation.

"I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me."

Psalm 118:13

Circumstances, the enemy and people will push hard against us at times. No matter how intense the opposition will be or how wicked the intention. We do not have to be afraid. The Psalmist felt as though he would be defeated. There will be moments when we feel like we are falling. But let us not be dismayed.

The Lord is with us and will help us when we are hard-pressed. If God is for us, who can be against us? No one can separate us from His love for us in Christ. No one can hinder God's hand of providence in our lives and His blessings.

We are afflicted in every way, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down. But we are never destroyed, crushed, driven to despair, or forsaken. Because, God is with us and is helping us all along the way. You are not alone, beloved.

"He sent redemption to his people; "

Psalm 111:9

Beloved, may we be grateful that the Lord has sent redemption. God could have sent wrath upon us as He did in the flood or as upon Sodom and Gomorrah. He would have been just in doing so as He was in these instances.

But God so loved the world that He sent His son into it, not to destroy it but to save it. Redemption came unto us in Christ. He is the Gospel. Jesus is the good news of salvation. While we were dead in sin, Christ died for us, redeeming us by His life.

Today, we stand in the grace of God. Christ the Redeemer has reconciled us unto the Father. We can come to the throne of grace knowing we will be received and heard. Take comfort today in knowing redemption is extended unto you. Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
