" Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Psalm 80:3

The plea of the weary and hurting is that the Lord would show mercy. Hope for deliverance, to have the burden removed, and strength for the day is in crying out to God.

Scripture encourages us to look to the Lord. Believe and trust that God is willing and able to help. He delights in delivering His people. To extend mercy and peace to our spirit.

If you need a miracle or comfort, then come to the Father. His mercy will be extended to you. The Lord will give you His peace and hope through the trial. It is the knowledge that God's face shines upon you that ensures us He is working all things out for our good. Trust His faithfulness. The Lord is with you today.

" As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me: your steadfast love and faithfulness will ever preserve me! "

Psalm 40:11

There are times when all we have is a promise from God's word to hold to. It will not always be specific to tell us that a miracle will happen or that prayer will be answered, according to how or when we want it. But a promise about the nature of God.

This Psalm declares that God will not keep His mercy from us. He delights in showing us mercy. To have compassion upon us and to help our weary souls. The assurance that God is steadfast in His love for us gives us hope. That whatever is going on in our life, He is present and is at work.

We may not be able to see it, but He is faithful. In the end, it will be the unceasing lovingkindness and faithfulness of God that shall preserve us. Today and through all the days of our life. God loves you and is with you.

" Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; "

Psalm 112:4

We dwell in a dark land at times, beloved, when all around us appear as shadows. Things appear grey and bleak, with no cause for hope.

But in the valley of the shadow of death, we do not travel alone. The good Shepherd is with us. He has gone this way before. The Shepherd has gone to the darkest regions of this valley. It could not hold Him. For the darkness is the day to Him.

The Lord leads us in the light of His victory. Every step is grounded upon His faithfulness and ability to carry us through. The light of the Lord is dawning upon you in the darkness. He will lead safely home.
