" For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers."

1 Peter 3:12

Have you ever tried to find something that was missing? We searched earnestly throughout our home for a particular item that was lost. Similarly, we sometimes feel lost in life, as if God has misplaced us.

We do not always understand what God is doing in our lives. We question the circumstances in our life. We wonder why things are difficult and how we should respond. Our thoughts and emotions can be all over the place. Even in times of perplexity, God is with us.

The eyes of the Lord are upon you. God has not misplaced you. He is watching over you, and His ears are open to your prayers. You can not be separated from the Lord and will never be alone. Though you may feel forgotten by others, God is watching over you and is at work in your life. Trust that the Lord is looking at you and has compassion for you.

" But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him."

Psalm 4:3

Beloved, let us take comfort in knowing that the God of all creation has set apart unto Himself in Christ. We are the redeemed of the Lord. We belong to Him, and God will not forsake His own.

In belonging to God and set apart unto Him. We have the assurance that our Heavenly Father hears us when we call out to Him. The Lord has chosen to love us and to show us mercy. He is willing to receive us and to respond to our cries.

Do not hesitate to call upon the Lord today. He is your God, and you belong to Him. The Lord desires to show you His goodness and mercy. God has set His love on you, and you belong to Him.

" God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns."

Psalm 46:5

The hope for all those who dwelled in Zion is that God was amongst His people. The Lord would keep them through the long night of the siege. The Lord would secure His people until the dawn.

We have a promise which is greater than the hope of the Psalmist. God is in our midst constantly through the Holy Spirit. You will not be separated from God's love for you in Christ Jesus. The Lord is always with us.

Christ has made a way for us to the throne of grace. We come in the name of the Lord. Because we have been reconciled unto God in Christ, Jesus is our cornerstone and we cannot be removed from our position in Him. Jesus is the firm foundation we stand upon. The Lord will bring us safely unto the dawning of the new heaven and earth where we will dwell with Him forever. May this hope comfort you today and cause you to put your trust in the Lord. God is with you.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
