" They saw the deeds of the Lord, his wondrous works in the deep. For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. "

Psalm 107:24-25,28

Seeing the witness of God in creation is not enough. We cannot merely acknowledge God, we must live for Him. We must come to that moment when we cry out to God as our Savior.

God, in His infinite mercy, will send the stormy winds upon our lives for us to cry out to Him. Calm waters can be more deadly to our eternal well-being than the momentary trials of today. These times of suffering force us to cry to God, the One who can save us. Then we should be grateful that He uses whatever means are necessary to keep us close to Him. To help us know Him as the God who saves.

Beloved, lift your voice today if the stormy wind has fallen upon you. The Lord will hear you. He will calm the waters and bring you to His haven of rest.

"But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me."

Micah 7:7

When all things fail, and there is no hope to be found, where shall we find help? We have a choice. We could look to ourselves or wait to see what others may do, or we can set our eyes upon the Lord.

We choose to serve the Lord daily. To entrust ourselves to Him while following in faithful obedience. When the trials come, let us purposefully look to God by faith.

Let us wait upon Him through prayer and the reading of scripture. It is there we shall find wisdom and grace. The word of God will renew our minds and bring clarity to our thoughts. The Spirit of God will fill our spirits with peace as we wait upon the Lord.

The assurance we have is that the Lord hears us. He will help us because He is the God of our salvation. Look to Him today, and you shall find rest for your weary soul.

" He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. "

Psalm 147:4

In life, we often face uncertainties. The details of tomorrow are unknown to us. With all our planning and preparation, nothing is certain. Anxiety has a way of clouding our minds and weighs upon the heart. Where shall we find peace then about our life? What true hope do we have for the future?

The Psalmist declares the omniscience and sovereignty of God. God knows all things and rules of the entirety of His creation. There is nothing outside of His sovereignty. God's providential care works with full knowledge of your life. Therefore, you can have peace and hope for today and the future.

God knows all the stars and every detail of them as One who can call them by name. How much more does the Lord and is at work in the lives of those He redeemed? You kept within the sovereignty of God. He knows every detail of your life, past, present, and future. Through it all, He will not forsake you.
