" And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you."

Psalm 39:7

The Psalmist discovered that when he looked to the things of this world for comfort, it offered no hope. Hopelessness is something that can come into our lives. In these moments, where will you turn? Who will you trust? From where will your hope come from?

Everything in this world is temporal and cannot sustain a life through every circumstance. The human spirit can only endure for so long. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In the Lord, we find peace. The assurance that we can have hope for He is with us. God's will is performed in our lives daily.

Even while the outward man is perishing, the purposes of God come to fruition. Giving us hope for the immediate moment and all of eternity. Let us not wait upon anything else but the Lord to see us through.

" He has made everything beautiful in its time. "

Ecclesiastes 3:11

Beloved, we do not always perceive things as done in wisdom or timely when it comes to the circumstances of life. However, the providence of God is orchestrated perfectly by His wisdom, power, and love.

We do not always see or fully understand how befitting providence works in our everyday lives. When we enter into eternity, we shall see more clearly how God was at work through our lives.

Until then, let us ask the Lord to enable us to trust His care in our life. To be grateful for the provision of God and to have patience concerning His timing within the seasons of our days. Every moment within the providence of God is befitting in time and purpose. Trust in God's plan for your life today because it is beautiful.

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, ....in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain."

1 Corinthians 15:58

The act of remaining steadfast, can only be achieved if we are reminded not to do things in our strength and if we have hope beyond ourselves. Paul exhorts fellow believers in Corinth to be steadfast. The encouragement to remain steadfast should indicate that there will be times when we will need such reminders.

The work of the Lord is supernatural. Something that the Holy Spirit enables us to do. It is why we must not rely upon ourselves but look to the Spirit of God to empower us. To guide and comfort us as we endeavor to do the work of the Lord.

With the Spirit's aid, we will still face fatigue or frustration. We should encourage ourselves that nothing done for the Lord is in vain. Fruit is not always immediately seen. Some things will have to wait for the revelation of eternity. Only then will we see the full scope of what the Lord accomplished through what we may see now as small or significant.

Therefore, remain steadfast and hopeful in the Lord. Everything we do is

for the glory of the Lord.

" Soli Deo Gloria "
