Beloved, we know that this world is in darkness. We understand that we are not to be like the world and to stay on the narrow path that leads to life. There is an adversary of our soul who tries to tempt and discourage us from remaining on the straight path. Life comes with trials and pitfalls.
For these reasons, we should have the word of God as the lamp for our feet and the light for our path. Only the word of God can illuminate the right direction and the correct manner in which we need to live.
It is God's word that instructs us and preserves us. Scripture warns, rebukes, comforts, and strengthens us/ Let us take up this light today to walk rightly before the Lord and man.
