Burdens | Feb 1st

"Cast your burden on the Lord,"

Psalm 55:22

The invitation has been given. Will we respond accordingly? We often carry a heavy burden that God has not intended for us to bear alone. His providence permits burdens beyond our strength and faith. But they are a means to bring us to the end of ourselves. The intent is for us to call out to the Lord and to depend upon Him.

Rather than struggling on our own or being discouraged by what has been allowed. Let us ask ourselves why God has led us in this direction. Why is this heavy burden a part of my life? It is surrendering to God in prayer and taking Him upon the invitation of casting our cares upon Him; that we find peace and grace that is sufficient.

Choose this day to cast your burden upon the Lord. Trust that He is willing and able to help. God's lovingkindness is extended to you. Why struggle on your own?

In Christ Alone,
