Every Good Gift | Nov. 28th

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights."

James 1:17

Beloved, as we gather for Thanksgiving today, may we be mindful that all blessings in this life have come from our heavenly Father.

There is no room for boasting, only humble gratitude for the mercies of God. He alone has bestowed common grace upon creation. As the people of God, He has granted saving grace and the promised Holy Spirit.

Our eyes are opened to see the beauty of God's blessings all around us. He continues to meet our needs no matter what form they take, and the Lord will not change in His benevolence towards us. There is sorrow in this life but the God of all comfort has been with us. His goodness and mercy continue to follow us and this we can be grateful for.
