Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld."

The essential message in preaching is the Gospel. The Church then becomes of utmost importance. No other institution and message liberates one's soul from the penalty of sin. The Church that makes Christ paramount through the preeminent preaching of the Gospel brings life to souls once dead in sin.
The Bible and pulpit must be at the center of corporate worship. For faith comes by the hearing of God's word. It is His word that convicts, causing repentance and the forgiveness of sin. The life that hardens itself against the truth of God's word does not receive the mercy of God. Sins are forgiven or unforgiven through the preaching of the Gospel.
