We can attest to the reality of living in troubled times. It seems we witness chaos daily and unrest within the nations. There is corruption in the political and judicial arena with little assurance of things changing. One may question the purpose and effect of the church being light in this world.
May we not be moved to such despair. The Lord is with His people, and He is sovereign. The throne of God supersedes all the kingdoms of this world. Each rises and falls according to His will. The church will be the light in every generation, and the Gospel will never lose its power.
Be reminded, beloved, that God will make all things new. His kingdom will remain, and the justice of God in righteousness will prevail. Be encouraged to trust the providence and sovereignty of God. Know that nothing you do for the Lord is in vain. God is with you, and His will be accomplished in your life and this world.
