"The Lord is my portion; I promise to keep your words. I entreat your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise."
Psalm 119:57-58
If Christ is our Savior, He must also be our Lord. We must be intentional in acknowledging His lordship with faithful obedience. God was everything to the Psalmist. The Lord must be everything to us.
As we set our hearts upon the Lord, we still understand the need for His mercy. We entreat the favor of God according to His promises unto us. We are not depending on our ability to keep promises, but His grace extended to us.
Today, we make the Lord our portion and are determined to follow Him. We seek His favor, depending upon God's grace to keep us. The blessings of God come to us through His mercy and lovingkindness. May we seek His favor according to God's gracious promises.
