"Now to him who can keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, "
Jude 1:24
Every true believer has a desire to live holy before God. We desire to overcome the carnal nature and the daily temptations before us. The war that wages against the child of God can sometimes be overwhelming. To love as Christ does and to show the same patience He shows to us is difficult to perform. That is only one area we have the potential to stumble in.
The promise to be kept offers great hope to those who desire to run their race well. There is the realization that we are kept from stumbling not by our merit or self-determination but by the power of the Holy Spirit. The word of God commands us to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
Mercy is extended unto us each day. Grace is our in Christ, and the Spirit lives within us. Our position in Christ is secure before the Father, and nothing can separate us from His love. The Lord will keep you from stumbling.
