"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?"

Luke 15:4

Beloved, we will go to great lengths to show our love for the ones we care for. We travel many miles, inclement weather, and long hours to reach them. The joy of being with loved ones causes us to expend ourselves and resources to be united again.

Consider to what lengths the Lord went in finding you and me as lost sheep. Christ came to us and suffered with and for us. Jesus laid down His life for us by taking upon Himself our sins. Christ endured the punishment our sins deserved so that we might have life.

We have never sacrificed or endured anything like the Lord did for us. May we never doubt the Love of God for us when we consider all that Christ has done in finding the lost. May Jesus be your Good Shepherd today.

In Christ Alone,

Pastor Wight
