Power and Might | May 13th

"Then he said to me, 'This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."

   Zechariah 4:6

  Beloved, what God does in this world and through our lives is still by the power of the Holy Spirit. The word Zerubbabel received from the Lord should be taken to heart by every believer. 

  We cannot change by our power. The work of God is not accomplished by our might. It is the Holy Spirit that transforms our life. He enables us to do the work of the Lord. 

  Whatever we do for the Lord is not in vain. The Spirit equips us for God's purposes. It is in the power and might of the Spirit that we do exploits for the Lord and can be light in this world.

   Look to the Lord to fulfill His promise of empowering us for Him and to carry out the will of God in our lives. God will aid those who ask for help.
