" And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you."
Psalm 39:7
The Psalmist discovered that when he looked to the things of this world for comfort, it offered no hope. Hopelessness is something that can come into our lives. In these moments, where will you turn? Who will you trust? From where will your hope come from?
Everything in this world is temporal and cannot sustain a life through every circumstance. The human spirit can only endure for so long. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. In the Lord, we find peace. The assurance that we can have hope for He is with us. God's will is performed in our lives daily.
Even while the outward man is perishing, the purposes of God come to fruition. Giving us hope for the immediate moment and all of eternity. Let us not wait upon anything else but the Lord to see us through.
In Christ Alone,
Pastor Wight
